Lesson for April 23 | Radical Reconciliation

Acts 9:1-31

BIG IDEA: God saves Saul in a radical way, leading to many people hearing about Jesus!

MEMORY VERSE: “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 9:17b

We covered the lesson with the Jesus Storybook Bible, pages 334-341.

What did Saul want to do with the Christians?
Throw them into prison.

Who did Saul meet, and what did that person say to Saul?
Jesus met Saul, and he told Saul that when Saul hurt the Christians, he was hurting him.

What happened after Jesus left?
Saul was blind

Who did Jesus send to help Saul?

What happened after Saul was healed of blindness?
He became a Christian, and began to tell everyone about who Jesus was!

We started the lesson with this video from Saddleback kids:

What would it be like to be blind and needing someone to guide you around?

What did the enemies of Jesus think when Saul believed in Jesus again?

What did the Christians think? Why did Saul have to run away?

How can it be exciting for the church to see how God saves people?

Do you get excited when people in our classroom become Christians?

How can we celebrate people becoming Christians in our church?
